An intro to JERRI.JONES

With the launch of my newly unveiled website, I wanted to be able to share BTS of the label, some of my favourite things and an insight into my family life and style. I take great pleasure in welcoming you to the JERRI.JONES Journal.
As a wife and mum of two young children, my family always comes first, my time is limited and I try my best like all parents to ‘balance’ the work side of things too. To start, I wanted to share the journey with you taking you back to where the label all began.
It all started with a personal love of leather and a frustration at the limited offering of quality, classic leather available at a mid designer price point.
With a strong retail and e-commerce background and a personal appreciation for simplicity in life and style, I was inspired to pave a road away from trend focussed, disposable, ‘fast-fashion’, instead to rediscover the appeal of simplicity, longevity and quality pieces worth investing in. I like to add to the collection when inspiration hits and not when traditional fashion seasons dictate – always remaining true to the JERRI.JONES ethos of ‘less is more’, opting for classic style notes over short lived seasonal trends.

The designs are simple, effortless and chic; transcending the boundaries of seasons. With this, I endeavour to curate an edit of timeless pieces worth investing in. Embodying the notion of ‘buy less, buy better’, I hope investing in a leather piece from my collection, helps women to feel good, build confidence and strong wardrobe foundations with endless outfit options for seasons to come.
Each JERRI.JONES leather garment is made using surplus end-of-season designer leather ‘dead-stock’ Re-purposing this leather lessens the environmental impact from the leather tanning process and highlights the exclusivity of each limited edition JERRI.JONES leather piece. This is a double win for me, not only minimising my footprint in the manufacturing process, but makes it extra special when you’re investing in a big purchase, knowing you won’t see everyone wearing the same piece as you down the street!
3 years on, the JERRI.JONES brand (and family!) has grown. Becoming a mother of two, has seen me evolve as a person and in my style choices. Always on-the-go, chasing after my daughter, Bobbi and son, Remy, I need outfit options that are practical, comfortable and child friendly. This lifestyle evolution saw the welcomed addition of leathergoods and sweatshirts to the JERRI.JONES edit, which received an overwhelming response! I’m excited for 2018 and I’m working on adding a family lifestyle element to the mix, which I can’t wait to share with you.
